Tantra Mantra

Tantra Mantra

Tantra Mantra or Tantric Mantra are words or sounds repeated to help in concentration while meditating. These have a direct effect on resolving particular problems and almost instantaneous results.

Tantra Mantra assists in awakening the kundalini which helps in spiritual growth leading to fulfilment of the ultimate goal of Tantra. There are different mantras for different problems.

Sounds in Tantra Mantra

Bija sounds which are sounds without any meaning are used in Tantra Mantra. These sounds represent a particular deity or divine energy. These sounds can be used alone or combined with other bijas or words while chanting. Tantra Mantra offers salutations to the divine seeking for strength and fulfillment of their real self.

It is believed that Tantra Mantras have four layers or koshas. These include the words and its meaning, the feeling of the mantra, the awareness and a state of soundless sound. This is when the mantra is no longer repeated but is fully understood.
