Back Pain and 10 ways to get rid of it!
Back pain is a universal health issue today that affects at least 8 out of 10 people.
Accidents and sports injuries are some of the most common causes of chronic back pain.
But sometimes, even simple activities like bending over to pick up an object from the floor can trigger back pain.
There is one common factor among most people who suffer from severe cases of chronic pain: inactive lifestyle.
The majority of back, neck pains are related to an imbalanced division of force throughout your body, which is created by working or staying in unnatural positions for long periods.
Extended sitting and poor posture are the primary risk factors of not only back pain but also of weight gain, joint problems, nerve problems.
In fact, the research shows that prolonged sitting is now the main risk factor for poor health and untimely death, even if you exercise regularly.
As with any health condition, eliminating back pain is more helpful than trying to cure it after it has set in, and may be too late.
So even if you’re not feeling back pain symptoms, there are certain precautions that you should take to avoid it in the future.
1.Always stretch before any vigorous physical exercise.
2.Do not stoop when standing or sitting. If you spend most of your time sitting, pay attention to consciously sucking in your stomach and rotating your pelvis slightly up.
3.You should keep your head back, with your ears over your shoulders and your shoulder blades pressed. This posture will keep your spine in proper adjustment. Do this every time you’re sitting, keeping the muscles tight for a couple of minutes.
4.Sit in chairs with a solid lumbar support. Change your sitting positions often. It is also recommended to walk periodically and gently stretch the muscles to release tension.
5.Avoid leaning over without supporting your back.
6.Women should also abstain from wearing heels all the time.
7.Our sleeping position should be accurate so as to reduce any curves in our spine. It is also extremely crucial to sleep on a firm surface.
8.Exercise and being physically active help stimulate the muscles of your spine, basically reducing back pain. Yoga may be an efficient approach for relieving back pain by making people more conscious of how they move their bodies.
9.Similarly, getting frequent massages can also help you prevent chronic back pain and promote your muscles to open up and release the tension in them.
10.Quit smoking: Smoking can sometimes narrow down your blood vessels which leads to a decrease in oxygen and nutrients reaching the spine.
The corporate lifestyle doesn’t let people focus on their physical or mental health. Every other person experience some of the other arthritics pain despite their age. It is extremely common for young adults to experience chronic pain in their lower back, shoulders, legs etc. This is due to the lack of physical activities and sitting in one position for more than 4 hours a day.
